Walking routes to discover Castell, Platja d’Aro, and S’Agaró
The Costa Brava can also be discovered on foot.
If there’s one thing we love about being a hotel in Platja d’Aro, it’s that you don’t have to go very far to find beautiful places. All you have to do is put on a pair of comfortable shoes and start walking.
Around us, there are routes for Platja d’Aro, S’Agaró, and Castell d’Aro that let you discover a slightly different Costa Brava: paths through forests, small coves, stretches of coastline, Empordà landscapes, and corners you might not find on the usual route.
To help you prepare for your outing, we recommend Natura Local, a website and app where you’ll find different routes in the municipality with all the information you need before you start: distance, difficulty, elevation gain, route, and other practical details.
And if you’re the type who prefers to have everything on your phone, you can also download the routes in GPX format and follow the path as you walk.
Plus, in our “Experiences” section, you’ll find some of our favorite suggestions for exploring the coastal paths, coves, and shoreline of S’Agaró and Platja d’Aro.
There’s no need to rush. In fact, that’s exactly the idea: set out from the Hotel Bell Repòs, walk, breathe, and let the Costa Brava do the rest.
At the Hotel Bell Repòs, we’re always happy to help you plan your excursions. Ask at the front desk: we know the area well and will recommend the best options based on the season and your interests.
