What is Mulching?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mulching<\/a><\/strong> is a gardening technique<\/strong> that involves covering the soil with a layer of organic material<\/strong>. This practice, designed to mimic the natural conditions of a forest, offers multiple benefits for the soil and plants, such as moisture retention<\/strong>, temperature regulation<\/strong>, and inhibition of weed growth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We Reuse Bread Boxes from \u201cLa Fleca de l’Empord\u00e0\u201d for Mulching<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Daily, we receive fresh bread from “La Fleca de l’Empord\u00e0” in cardboard boxes<\/strong>. Instead of being discarded, these boxes are reused as mulching material,<\/strong> with the aim of maximizing the reuse of the waste we generate.<\/p>\n

The cardboard is shredded and applied to garden areas. This layer not only helps retain moisture and control unwanted weeds but also breaks down slowly, improving soil quality.<\/p>\n

We Give a Second Life to Toilet Paper Cardboard Rolls<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Additionally, to maximize the reuse of the waste we generate and give it a second life<\/strong>, we utilize cardboard rolls<\/strong> from toilet paper and other cardboard boxes to sustainably enhance green areas.<\/p>\n

The cardboard cylinders left after using toilet paper also find a second life as seedling pots. Once the plants are ready to be transplanted, the cylinders are placed directly into the soil<\/strong>. The cardboard decomposes naturally, allowing roots to grow unrestricted and without generating waste.<\/strong><\/p>\n
